By Robert Smith
I bought this bike last week and received it this past Monday 8/15/11. It came in a proper bicycle box and was delivered right to my porch. Inside, it was packaged professionally. All the parts were there. At this point, I was excited! To make a long story short, it's a great bike for the money. My only ISSUES are that the brakes are a little cheap and the seat is really uncomfortable. But I have several saddles, so I just swapped it out. After I put air in the tires, the bike rode great. It is super fast and super fun, you can really fly on the thing. If you don't want to deal with a multispeed bike and just want the low maintanence of a single speed, then this bike is for you. I spent an extra couple of bucks and bought aerobars for it so I can tuck and really fly. Overall, the bike is really sharp looking, really neat and overall, I'm really satisfied. I gave it four stars b/c of the brakes. Good luck!

By cllcle
At $200, I was very skeptical about this bike since the price is probably one of the lowest you'll find on the market today. However, here I am still riding it and loving every moment of it.
I bought this bike back in August of last year and still use it to commute to work every other day (which equates to roughly a 9 mile round trip). And for the price, I could not complain.
There are a few caveats to the bike however, and that would be the uncomfortable seat and the cheap tires and rim tape that it comes installed it. However, I did not dock it a star because this bike was $200 after all. I replaced the tires with gatorskins and got different rim tape all around and swapped the seat with another bike I had and I haven't had problems since.
Just remember you are not buying the best of the best, but this is definitely a solid entry level bike that will get you from point A to point B.

Let me start off by saying, I'm not any kind of bike aficionado. I wanted to start exercising via cycling, and break into it without spending a fortune. I'm not taking padded bike shorts, racer jersey, trip computers cycling... Just moving around town at a good pace, nothing too crazy. I spent about a month mulling over what type of bike to get, should I get a cheap schwinn, something from walmart, or this one from Vilano. After reading pretty much every review on the internet for every single speed / fixie under $400, I couldn't find anything alarming about this bike. From reading the reviews I knew probably the worst thing about it would be the seat... that's an easy $15 fix. In the past 3 days I've put about 40 miles on the bike... I really couldn't be happier.
For all you hipsters - this is the best fixie out there.
Couple of things I did to make it a little more comfy for longer rides...
1. Gel seat cover. Bell makes an anatomical one that is awesome.
2. Comfort grips. The stock ones are fine for light riding, but if you are used to a cruiser or mountain bike, the handle bars on this bike are thinner so you might start to feel that in your palms.
3. Bottle Cage / water bottle. Holes were pre-drilled and screws supplied.
Bottom line... BUY THIS BIKE. Even if you have to spend $30 on the comfort package above, this is a WAY better value than anything out there under $350-$400.
